Shavers, Razors

A Shaver or a Razor is a tool with an edge used for the purpose of shaving.

The Razor was identified from the Bronze Age, Britain. These used to be made of bronze and were oval in shape, with tangs protruding from one of the shorter ends.

The appearance of straight Razor occurred somewhere before the 20th century and now is primarily used by the barbers.

An electronic Razor or better known as the electric dry Shaver is the commonest device these days with a rotating or an oscillating blade. Best said would be that an electric dry shaver does not require shaving cream, water or soap.

It is run by a small unit of a DC motor, and nowadays comes with a rechargeable battery. Earlier versions of electric Razor were meant for the purpose of dry shaving only. With the ongoing technology, we now have electric Shavers which even allow for shaving cream and moisture.

Shavers and Razors have had their own share in the history. They have seen huge transformations though these are so small items to be considered.

From being developed into a Safety Razor to the Double Edged Shaver, it has seen transformation from being the Single Edge to the modern Multi-Blade Cartridge Razor with straight edges and disposable blades.
